Phaedra (br: Profanação) é uma co-produção franco-greco-americana de 1962 do gênero drama, dirigido por Jules Dassin. Roteiro de Jules Dassin e Margarita Lymberaki que transpôs para os dias atuais a tragédia grega de autoria de Eurípedesque por sua vez se baseou no mito de Fedra e Hipólito.
Phaedra (Greek: Φαίδρα) was a 1962 motion picture directed by Jules Dassin as a vehicle for his partner Melina Mercouri. The film was the fourth collaboration between Dassin and Mercouri, who took the title role. Greek writer Margarita Lymberaki adapted Euripides' Hippolytus into a melodrama concerning the rich society of ship owners and their families, but still containing some of the tragic elements of the ancient drama. Phaedra, second wife of shipping tycoon Thanos (Raf Vallone), falls in love with her husband's son from his first marriage, Alexis (Anthony Perkins). The love is doomed from the very beginning but they are unable to control their

Fedra è un'opera di Ildebrando Pizzetti su libretto di Gabriele D'Annunzio. Fu rappresentata per la prima volta al Teatro alla Scala di Milano il 20 marzo 1915. La première ebbe un buon successo, con la protagonista Krusceniski «degnissima interprete per nobiltà di esecuzione e di atteggiamenti scenici», ma con la voce affaticata per l'onerosità del ruolo.
